NEWS

Northwest photographer Mike Ambach has finished printing reproductions of 6 of my paintings and I’m happy to say they are in my studio now. Please go to prints.html to see more. If anyone is interested in purchasing a print, please contact me at suzohickey@gmail.com.

PLACES YOU CAN SEE MY WORK

For those of you living or visiting in the Prince Rupert area, there are a few places you can see my paintings. The most recent venue is the Ice House Gallery, located in beautiful Cow Bay (190-215 Cow Bay Road, Prince Rupert). In addition to paintings, I also have some prints and cards available for sale. The Ice House Gallery is the creation of the North Coast Artist's Co-operative. It began in 2004 and provides a space for local North Coast Artists to showcase their work. The hours of operation are Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm, and Sunday 12pm to 4pm.

I have a couple of small paintings and some cards for sale at The Argosy in Prince Rupert. The store, which is truly fabulous, is located at 985 3rd Ave West. The hours are Wednesday to Saturday, 11am to 6pm, and Sunday, 12pm to 5pm.

And of course, you can always drop by my studio to see whatever it is that I am working on. I am very happy to have visitors, but I do run around on errands and often go home for lunch, so it is best to email (suzohickey@gmail.com) or text ahead (604-831-6064). I now have a nice sign that fits into Nicole’s most excellent sandwich board, making it easier to see if I am at the studio or not.

My studio is in downtown Prince Rupert, at 315 – 3rd Ave West, entrance in the side lane at the foot of the 4th avenue staircase. The studio is on the second floor and not wheelchair accessible (my apologies).

I still have paintings at the CCEC Credit Union at 2248 Commercial Drive in Vancouver. My plans to put some newer art in the space have not materialized yet, but it is still in the works. It’s not so easy now that I am 1000 miles away, instead of a few blocks.
